Can the government fix this BEFORE it hits our wallets?

IT problems at the Revenue cause more tax code errors

It amazes me just how often we read headlines and stories just like the one above.
Who the *#ll are the Government employing to screw up these projects? :baby:

I deal in client based projects almost everyday, and have yet to drop the proverbial on such a monumental scale. If I HAD been so useless, my clients would have me out the door before I could breath out!

Surely there MUST be some kind of testing involved in these projects ~ which must be passed before the ominous ‘going live’ date?
It would seem that the Government’s QA (Quality Assurance) procedures need a radical shake up.
Have they not heard of testing?
When I was working for the Bank(s) you had to jump through multiple hoops just to change an email address!

I personally am a victim of this fiasco ~ HMRC took a looooooong phone call to convince them that I’d got the wrong tax code. This resulting in a tax rebate of £200+; this being dwarfed by one friend who received over £2000 back from the tax man.

It’s even more worrying when you read that the government are pushing ahead with the identity card scheme – the shared doctors database – and the police’s DNA database.
3 more projects of huge proportions that’ll get released before they are ready…

Watch this space and be scared about your online details held on the governments databases – it’s only a matter of time…
