Appraising the minions
Sometimes there are things in businesses you don’t like ~ some times it’s the other…
Today was all about appraisals; talking about how well/badly your staff have done over the intervening period.
In this case, it was Chris’s first 3 months in the company.
#At this point my GF was complaining that it’s getting late – so it’s a TO BEÂ CONTINUEDÂ for the time being…

We all sat around our board room table and discussed ‘stuff’ – mainly from the form we had created to gauge things like ‘Initiative’ and ‘Ability to convey complex ideas’
It’s all very nice and supposedly gives room for the employee to have their say.
In our case, being a small team, we all kinda do this anyway; that is to say we all pitch in with whatever, whenever we like.
It WAS helpful for a little bit of self appraisal though – I found myself scoring me for the various things too (I’m obviously an excellent employee, a positive asset to the company
).
Maybe I deserve a pay rise…
