Tag Cloud - New to Random Rants
I’ve had a bit of a play with this theme for WordPress – I’ve removed the theme options and added a ‘Tag Cloud‘ (it’s on the side bar under the ‘Quotes’)

As we go on, I’ll tag stuff to see what makes this blog tick…
Expect the ‘Rant’ tag to be HUGE!! 
I have also decided to add more images into the blog – they look so nice…

QUANGOs - A waste of time and money?
Quasi Autonomous Non Governmental Organisation – A big long word for useless wastes of the taxpayers hard won readies (In my humble opinion! )
Lets start with Business Link – Few small business owners who have had dealings with this QUANGO have good things to say about it.
In our case (this just in! hence the rant), we spent about 3 DAYS filling in this stupid form, just for them to say “Not looking for your services” – Fine, I’ll bill you fr the WASTED time then! £1800 +VAT please…
We only wanted to offer their funding to our clients (and potentials) and were told that they were looking specifically for more service offerings to businesses.
Apparently we could apply to become contractors with an existing provider – if WE win the business and get funding for OUR clients, the existing provider TAKES, on average 10% – for WHAT exactly? 
They appear to be simply justifying their existence by ticking boxes – yes Mr. Government Advisor, we’ve “helped” 500 businesses this month…

There are other agencies which could easily be put under this particular spotlight – I’m sure a brief conversation with any long standing businessman will raise several names…
 On the side of the banks – the Alliance and Leicester seems to be dragging it’s heels on an e-commerce website we have developed – the client in question has waited OVER 6 WEEKS to use the credit card details he’s collected. All because the bank WONT sort this out
Sigh – Things are looking bleak in the economy and we’ve got the bank playing idiots and the QUANGOs wasting our time.
When will it get better?
