So you MUST have seen this in the news lately:
Firms in data row deny wrongdoing

Whilst I personally don’t condone the practice of ‘blacklisting’ employees, it is becoming increasingly difficult for employers to find good staff members. I DO understand the need for something like this; something that will provide employers with details of the applicants.

As information sources dry up, thanks to the ‘protection’ of individuals information by such laws as the Data Protection and The Human Rights acts :evil: – businesses will increasingly use what is available to them to sift through the people applying for jobs.

It is not unusual for employers to receive a ‘Reference’ for a potential employee that simply reads:
“Mr. X was employed by us from xx\xx\xx until yy\yy\yy” – and that’s it!
Businesses NEED god information about the people they employ. Employing the wrong person can (and has) cause catastrophic damage to the structure of the business.

Fear of prosecution and personal liabilities are strangling freedom of speech!
It’s about time that the Government decided which is more important to US (not the ‘nice’ image of Britain they seem to want to portray).

The Government really need to stop meddling with the employment laws and allow businesses to flourish in the way they need to. We are no longer in the mindset of the old workhouses, flogging employees is n longer an option!

People in Britain seem to be getting more and more sick of this type of rubbish! The more people in the UK (of all creeds and colours) I speak to, the more I am certain that we, as a people, are getting more and more disillusioned with the politicians and Government in general.

Time to buy that island in the sun then – anyone want to come with me?
