The reason I post this is that today I visited a client with a “blown up” PC – dead, deceased, no longer working.
Hmm…
Simon braves the horrendous traffic (a vehicle fire brought 1/2 of Leeds to a halt), parks in the centre of town (not a cheap exercise), and arrives at the clients – about and hour after they called!
Investigates PC…
Nothing still smouldering…
No odd smell…
Nothing blackened by the explosion…
Taking a risk I switched it on… :oops:
IT WORKED!!!
Apparently the PC made some ‘horrible’ crackling noises then went dead.
I explained about loose power leads…
The scorn and amusement from the rest of the office was worth the visit though
