Bzzzzzz
So after being nuked at the hospital and potentially gaining the ability to defrost and cook my own microwave meals with just a glance, I was sent to town (Leeds) to fix and antivirus issue (which I did fix :) )
A journey which necessitates another journey on public transport.
So far this week we’ve done a bus and a train – not bad for someone who hasn’t been rubbing shoulders with the great unwashed for YEARS
Lets hope there’s planes involved next week!
Hmm…
This nuking thing said I should drink LOTS (and it was in capitals in the leaflet too) of water to help my system get rid of the radioactive goo.
I should have joined the Uk’s Beijing Olympic team as their star wee’er – If there was such a competition.
Not surprising after drinking 2 Litres of water in less than an hour…
I’ve been wondering just why the medical staff have been messing about testing me for stuff and not just simply put me in a pot.
I asked the nurse today.
Apparently it is not unusual to damage the blood supply and/or nerves running up to your thumb, when doing what I have done. Resulting in the loss of use of that most used digit.
That shook me into leaving the wrist alone, doing as I’m told and letting the medics get on and fix me!
(I think ms guys do as they are told if a nurse asks anyway
)
I have also gained a rather ugly rash on the left hand side of my injured hand, probably because of the splint thing I have to wear. It looks like something between Eczema and sun burn. Boy does it itch!
Pass the E45 cream…
A quick glace at the clock confirms another late night
