I went to the usual, alternate Friday, network meeting this morning.
7:00 am is a little too early.
Whilst there I got talking to another delegate who said…
“I have heard your name bandied about – I thought you would be older, and a little broader in the beam!”
Not quite awake at stupid o’clock I was amused and a little stuck for a response.
I guess it’s all in the name :)

So it would seem that I’m rapidly getting a reputation as an “angry young man” – Several people have called me a grump this week. 
I might have to take this personally soon 
Scenario:~
You are NOT technician of the year and the website says product X costs £100 BUT it doesn’t if you need the server version – it’s more.
There is a big, pretty table saying the pricing.
Just above this (in little text) there is a notice saying “Not for servers”
So you call them up and ask “why should I pay more?”.
After a tirade of “Sick of people asking this” and “People wanting something for nothing” type comments, you suggest that perhaps they might want to make this fact more obvious.
Then a productive conversation ensues, hopefully ‘fixing’ the problem
Or – in a nutshell – Here’s a problem ‘cos people keep asking. Lets not fix it, lets just moan at the people for asking!

Today I have acted as a ‘Baby Courier’
Tor has eaten something dodgy so she’s swanning around in her PJs at home, drinking tea and trying to solicit some sympathy.
(I for one don’t have any sympathy AT ALL!! Well, if you do insist on eating )
Dropped young Tom at t’ nursery – mission accomplished, package delivered…
Anyhow…
More trouble with a blummin’ supplier – they start off good then seem to lose interest.
It is ALWAYS the after sales care which they fall down on.
Also a client has broken a PCÂ - looks like a drive failure 
It’s gonna be a long one :cry:
