You know?

 

People will tell you that consistently doing something will make it easier – WRONG!
These breakfast meetings ALWAYS make me feel awful :cry:
Right now it’s about 21:10 and I’m seriously wishing i’d gone to bed about 3 hours earlier..!

Anyway – Today was a bit of a blur really – breakfast meeting (which appears to be becoming like a little mini board room meeting) – followed by a discussion with a colleague about an up coming job.

Tomorrow I was supposed to be meeting a company providing cold calling services (just ringing companies up and getting us some meetings). Unfortunately the meeting has been cancelled.
Quite a few of our clients and colleagues have asked for a run down of our results (if any) so I’ll post them here too!
That is if we ever get to meet them!

I need some sleep (there were soooo many spelling errors in this) :lol:

Possibilities

 

Today was a day of possibilities.

Whilst visiting a client to install and configure a wireless connection (BT Homehub), she suggested that we consult alongside HR people. When the introduction of certain policies arise, we could assist in implementing the technological ones.

Good idea! :idea:

Also, whilst talking with a web developer client, the potential for an E-Commerce website was discussed.

Another good idea!! :idea:

Lets see where (if anywhere) they go…

Today

 

Today was a bit of a non event really
I went to a client to see if the project I had to leave on Thursday (NOT my fault BTW) was any further forward.
(The other party involved had mailed some details across to my client)
Looks like it all works! :grin:
Good!

Spent the rest of the day fighting with a spy-ware infested PC and feeling sorry for myself :lol:

I’m kn*****ed - off to bed and it’s only 21:33 – TO SLEEP!!!!!
i’m getting old :(

Better than…

 

Dell this time!

We are officially better than Dell tech support :)
Client with an older Dell laptop – not booting :(
4 1/2 hrs on the phone to Dell – no joy
Calls us in…
20, yes count them 20 minutes later, all fixed!!

What can I say?? :grin:

Funny

 

Today I learned that some clients are a little daft - I mean that in a nice way…

Breakfast meeting (usual stoopid AM) and one of our regulars is having difficulty with her printer.
Apparently it has a life of it’s own and waits until she has lots to do before refusing to print.
“The printer hates me” :lol:

Later a client who’s laptop decided that it was going to throw a strop, and take AGES to close VPN connections and some other software, called. (that was one long sentence)
The documents that run his business (all the financial stuff) were missing from his desktop – this happened since the transfer to a client/server network.
After a brief panic – several dial in sessions – several drive searches – email search – server search (you get the idea!) - the offending documents were discovered.
Where? In the recycle bin :oops:
