Just when you thought things were settling down for the Christmas lull, 2 clients call totally unexpectedly!
One client never got back to us, we thought the business was lost, But no :)
Things got stupidly busy and will again (they are a company running 3 bars in Leeds and Manchester) but there was a brief window for breathing – and he called!
The other was an order for a laptop that i had completely forgotten about – now the stats for December are looking up

On the personal side…
I have a sink, with taps,
I have a bath with new taps,
I have a funky (and powerful) new shower.
In short I HAVE A BATHROOM!!!! :)
I just have to finish the decoration
There’s always a down side…

Today was a trek…
‘Cross t’ill ‘n’ t’dale (as they say up here in the frozen north)
I had to visit a potential new client over the t’other side of Halifax.
The Sat Navy system thought it prudent to introduce my car to the joys of the countryside!
Actually, there was no other routes, so it did it’s job extremely well!

You know you are leaving civilisation when you pass the last pylon and can only see green (with occasional moving black and/or white bits of animals)

Very picturesque, not too practical for support purposes!

We had a quite frank discussion about the proposed systems she was wanting to implement – resulting in a recommendation for leaving the entire project for around 6 months, whist the big boy Billy G and MS get their Vistas together…

Not good for sales, but right for the client!
Sometimes I’m too honest
It’s for the best though…

I feel sooo bad, getting up for the breakfast meeting has finished me off!
I have spent the weekdays doing the usual stuff, and the evenings building furniture from Ikea.
I now count myself as a flat pack furniture construction expert!
I also have big holes in my bathroom – which i now have to plaster.

Newsflash
Tim the plumber has just rung.
“I did something stupid at your house” – Tim
“Uh oh” – Simon, now feeling a little nervous
“You know that hole i needed to fill with builders foam” – Tim
“Yesssss” – Simon
“Well, somehow i managed to get foam in my hair and didn’t notice” – Tim
“Ha ha ha ha, oops” – Simon (now relieved)
“But I didn’t realise until later, by then it had cured” – Tim

For those that don’t know, builders foam sets like rock when cured. Tim will have a huge dent in his hair, once the scissors get involved!!
The funniest thing is, both he and his good lady wife, are at a wedding at the weekend!!!
Tim’s gonna be in a whole world of trouble with the missus!!!!
Hahahahahahaha

That was a mental week!
Things got a bit busy, whilst i was out doing the new build.
Back in the office for today, so I am hoping for a peaceful day – so far it is…
