Loooong daaaaay!

Today was quite a long day, installing a few new PCs at a clients and moving the replacements to new desks.
They were Dell PCs

From time to time I get asked “which PC should I buy?”
– the answer is simple
“Which ever YOU feel gives the best value!”

In this case (cos they have a ‘great’ service engineer – moi ;) ) they chose Dell.
Not a bad choice IF (and only IF) you have someone to turn to when it all goes wrong.

Dell supplied PCs – missing some bits.
Simple things like MS Office, DVI to VGA convertors (to make older monitors work with the new Dell kit) and product keys.
You know, just the simple things that if missing, mean the PC is inoperable.

Oh dear :(

Still – the job went fine from my point of view… :)

It was kinda funny when the guys providing the bespoke software my client uses TRIED to charge to install it.
It got a little shouty

Still – it’s always worth trying it on – if you want to lose your clients that is ;)

Sleepy me’s off to bed (pre midnight for a change – WOW!!)
