How about this:
Clients server goes down – would not power up
Quick investigation – no power
Diagnose fault to motherboard and power supply.
Trip to suppliers – get replacement parts, install them and retest.
Return server to client site – reinstall and final testing.

All within 5 hours :)

Some clients
Arrived at a clients at 9:30AM, nothing unusual in that really but…
It seems I have a reputation of not being a ‘morning person’, sadly this is all too true.
The shocked resonse to my preternatural arrival was “What are you doing here?” :laugh:

Just to add insult to injury my time sheet read “time started – 9:30AM Yes that is AM!!”

The truth is my girlfriends car was in for a service – I had to be up and moving at an ungodly hour

Today was quite a mixed bag…

The morning was quite hectic – lots of calls and ‘fixing’ things…
The afternoon was quite easy really. A trip to Manchester to the offices of a client for a simple maintenance checkup. All clear ! :)

Decided that Sat Nav was a must after getting totally lost in Huddersfield the other day I was over an hour late for a meeting.
Huddersfield NEEDS better signs for visitors – I STILL don’t know how to get to the station, even having followed the only sign I could find for it AND having been about 100 yds from it ! :crazy:

In other (sad) news – we are down to 4 little fishes
Sadly two died recently, the other 4 are still going strong though :)
They are a little more interesting now – they move about a bit!

For once I got a day in the office. :doze:
Spent a relaxing day testing a new PC build for installation tomorrow.
‘Tis nice from time to time, to get a peaceful day. Not fraught with the usual panic ‘cos something is broken.
Sadly they are all too scarce (actually this is a good thing )

It’s our year end too…
Lot and lots of numbers flying about – I hate the finanacial stuff… :crazy:
Now we have a big accountancy bill to look forward to. :laugh:
