Tor’s background and experience allows her to understand client’s requirements and then deliver solutions on time and to budget, with the minimum of fuss.
Rochester & Associates Ltd was originally started by Simon Rochester in January 1998.
Born from a combination of Simon’s desire to run his own company with a passion for technology, and Tor Mackenzie’s skills and management, the company quickly established itself as a prominent provider of quality IT solutions that actually work.
Having started life servicing ICI and the various companies that come under that banner – Rochester & Associates Ltd relocated to the city of London, after the potential of a large contract.
This developed into initially servicing Citibank as it’s main client, through which our reputation quickly grew, and we began undertaking projects for the BBC, The Land Registry, The Met Police, Compaq and other major ‘Blue chip’ clients.
After a few years we once again decided to come home to Yorkshire, having become disillusioned with London, and relocated to Leeds, where we have now been for over 10 years.
Currently we are based on the Leeds / Bradford border and help many companies in many business sectors, though we specialise in the manufacturing industries.
Offering a range of services to our clients we consistently outperform our competitors and win most of new business through recommendation and referral. What we once offered only to the ‘big boys’ we now offer to businesses in the SME arena.
Our services are designed to deliver a consolidated solution – that is, if you want it we do it – this is to stop the ‘rock and a hard place’ situation companies find themselves in where one company blames the other and nothing gets done (costing your business all the while).

Our approach to technology is rare in the IT sector, in that we view the technology from a business perspective. We realise that the technology needs to perform a role and that it needs to have a cost benefit.
